"The X Factor" judges, from left, L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears attend the FOX network upfront presentation party at Wollman Rink, Monday, May 14, 2012 in New York.
As we know, season one Judges, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, will not be returning for the second season of X-Factor to join Simon Cowell and LA Reid behind the judges table. Since the announcement that Abdul and Scherzinger would not be a part of season two, rumors have circulated about who the new judges would be.
Such big names as Mariah Carey and Beyonce were thrown around as X-Factor judge possibilities, but all rumors have recently been put to rest after the announcement that multi-platinum Grammy Award-Winning Pop Star Britney Spears and Singer/Songwriter and Actress Demi Lovato have been confirmed as season two judges of X-Factor.
The word is still out as to who will host the top ranked talent show, however that announcement should be just around the corner, as X-Factor is set to premier mid-season on Fox.

What a wonderful blog headline, don’t you agree?
In case you haven’t heard, Facebook is adding the option of “organ donor” to the Life Events section of the timeline, where you can select whether you are an organ donor.
The folks at Facebook explain more about this feature here. Zuckerburg explains that it’s his hope that people can learn more about organ donations this way, and awareness can be raised. Here’s how it got started:
Zuckerberg said his friendship with Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs, who had received a liver transplant before he died last year, helped spur the idea, as did talks with his girlfriend Priscilla Chan, a medical student.
More than 112,000 Americans are waiting for organs and 18 people die every day from the lack of available organs, according to Donate Life America, a nonprofit that is teaming with Facebook.
Maybe this will raise awareness, but to me, it feels like just one more way Facebook is wanting to dig into your personal life. Sure, you have the option to not signify your organ status on Facebook (and at least this time they give you an option instead of forcing you into something), but I am a little weirded out that the option is on the table anyway.
What’s next? Blood type?
What are your thoughts? Is this a good way to raise awareness, or just too personal?

American Idol contestant, Jessica Sanchez, with Idol Judges (from left to right) Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler Jennifer Lopez and American Idol Host, Ryan Seacreast
Last nights American Idol Results Show was a surprise, to say the least, when the judges favorites Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet found themselves in the bottom 3.
Although Joshua was quickly saved from elimination, Jessica wasn’t so lucky. Sanchez was announced as this weeks contestant to sing for their life and hope that the judges would use their one and only save, before reaching the Top 5 contestants, on her.
Jessica wasn’t even able to get through the first verse of her save song, Deborah Cox’s “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here”, before the judges rushed to the stage and announce that they of course would be using their save on Jessica. “Give me that mic!” yelled Idol Judge Jennifer Lopez. “This is crazy! Yes we are using the save” said Lopez in disbelief.
Judge Randy Jackson proclaimed to Idol watchers, “Are you kidding me? Please everybody please vote for the best”
I personally believe that this is the wake up call that happens every season of American Idol. There are always those few power house singers that Idol watchers are sure will draw in the big numbers with votes, so they decide not to vote. The sad reality is that there are thousands who think the same thing, which results in the best singers getting sent home.
American Idol airs every Wednesday night at 8pm on F OX43. Make sure you tune in and VOTE for your favorite Idol contestant.
