Host Howie Mandel puts a hidden-camera spin on the “flash mob” concept. Mandel and hundreds of strangers will help special guests plan extraordinary surprises for friends, family members, loved ones or co-workers. These unknowing participants will be shocked and stunned by surprise performances that lead up to fantastic reveals that include a husband learning that his wife is pregnant, an applicant finding out that she got the job and a marriage proposal, among others.

“It’s so exciting to be a part of this huge musical spectacle never before attempted on this scale,” said Mandel.

Throughout the hour, the guests will be shown prepping for the event – rehearsing their routines and refining their speeches – all while receiving guidance from host Mandel. Then, on the day of the big event – with the hidden cameras rolling – the detailed plan comes to fruition and suddenly explodes into a song-and-dance spectacle they are sure never to forget. What begins as a few dancers evolves into a grand-scale performance that wraps up with a life-changing announcement for the participants like nothing ever seen on TV.

After countless nights of watching, The X Factor, it has all paid off!! Arguably one of the most dedicated fans of the show, Marley Burnell of Chesapeake is the winner of the X Factor to the X treme Contest!  Mr. Burnell has been a watching since season 1, he has seen judges change, a variety of talent, many eliminations and all of that extensive knowledge and support recently paid off for him!  He answered every X Factor trivia question on Wednesday and Thursday correctly and won a trip for two to Los Angles CA to the the finale on this Thursday night!  We are so proud of you and celebrate your win! FOX has ordered a third season of THE X FACTOR, it was announced today by Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

Season to date, THE X FACTOR is averaging a 3.9 rating among Adults 18-49 and 10.6 million Total Viewers and is a Top 15 show this fall among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. In addition, THE X FACTOR is a Top 5 entertainment program among Teens this season.

THE X FACTOR continues to break social TV records with the most fan engagement of any series on television and three times the social activity of its genre competitors. Each episode consistently achieves more Twitter trending topics than the competition. The second season premiere of THE X FACTOR shattered the record for a series premiere, garnering 1.4 million social comments, according to Bluefin Labs.

Following schedule changes due to the rain-delayed MLB NLCS game last week, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, the highly anticipated conclusion of the “Judges’ Homes” round of THE X FACTOR will air at a special time from 9:30-10:30 PM ET/PT on FOX. Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears will reveal the 16 acts among the Teens, Young Adults, Groups and Over 25s categories that will continue in the competition.

Fashion’s Night Out, a day dedicated to all things Fashion around the country.  Hampton, Va hosted its first event at Peninsula Town Center and it was hosted by Steven Cojocaru, known by the nickname “Cojo”.  Cojo made over a local mom,that won the center’s Make Over contest. He also gave red carpet and practical advise to everyone regarding fashion and style.

Ex-Giants superstar Michael Strahan was announced as Kelly Ripa’s new co-host.  This should definitely be a great add to the dynamics of this show that is no longer hosted by original “Live!” host, Regis Philbin. The show became nationally syndicated in September 1988 as Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee.  When Kathie Lee departed the show in 2000,  Kelly Ripa became co-host with Philbin.  Although the show has changed hosts over the years, one thing is for sure, it has not changed it successful reign as one of the most popular and loved daytime talk shows!  Also Live!’s new co-host may have a gap in his teeth, but I am sure there will be no gap in the chemistry of the hosts and connection with their audience.  Strahan was a beloved NY Giant and may even bring in a more athletic audience.  Congrats from the Face of Fox43 on your new position.
